Eighteen years after The Matrix Trilogy wrapped up and became one of the most beloved movie franchises, Warner Bros. is bringing the fans back to the simulation with the new film, The Matrix Resurrections.
Through the website WhatIsTheMatrix.com, excited fans are given a first look at the upcoming film, by showing glimpses of what’s to come. Visitors of the website are first given a choice– the Blue Pill or the Red Pill, reminiscent of the iconic scene in the first Matrix film when Morpheus made Neo choose.
Each ‘pill’ on the website gives you clips from the upcoming film and a monologue from either Neil Patrick Harris or Yahya-Abdul Mateen II, both newcomers to the movie franchise. At the end of each presentation, it is also announced that the trailer will arrive tomorrow.

The plot for the film is yet to be revealed, but fans can expect more details when the trailer finally drops tomorrow. Also part of the cast are Carrie-Anne Moss, Jonathan Groff, Jessica Henwick, and more. Lana Wachowski returns as writer and director for the film that’s coming out this December 22, 2021.
