WATCH: ‘Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin’ Trailer Reveals New Found Footage Horror Flick

Paramount+ and Blumhouse has just released the first trailer for Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, the seventh installment of the famous horror film franchise.

The Paranormal Activity franchise which debuted in 2007 further popularized the found footage genre in film by depicting seemingly real hauntings caught on camera. After six years since Paranormal Activity 6 was released, fans are finally getting a new film which takes viewers on a trip to a cold, remote town where the nightmares will be reborn.

The film centers on an adopted young woman whose search for her biological mother leads her to a secluded Amish community that welcomes her warmly. However, her quest to get to know them better takes a dark turn when she discovers that the people of the town are part of a cult, and they worship a demon.

The film stars Emily Bader, Roland Buck III, Dan Lippert, and Henry Ayers-Brown. It is directed by William Eubank from a script by Christopher Landon. Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin will be released on Paramount+ this October 29.
