K Lightbox’s First Collection Puts the Spotlight on BTS’ Iconic Songs

K Lightbox is the first Filipino brand that specializes in creating customized paper art light boxes. Led by an all-women team, who’d like to call themselves the Happiness Artisans, the brand aims to make people’s lives happier and more colorful through their light box creations.

For the brand’s first limited edition collection called “HIT,” the spotlight is on one of the iconic K-Pop artists worldwide, Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS. Who hasn’t heard of Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, Jeon Jungkook right? We’re pretty sure you read that with the fan chant in mind.

“One of the designs we thought of was inspired by the live performance of BTS at Gyeongbukgong during the Chuseok Festival,” said Ayee Javier, Chief Operating Officer of K Lightbox. “We hope that our humble light box will bring you happy moments whether of their performance or of yourself fangirling over them and their music; of your past cherished trips to Seoul; or of your future plans of visiting the Land of the Morning Calm.”

“Nowadays, we are all in need of cheering up. Let this light box’s glow bring you the happiness you need at the moment,” she adds.

The beautifully crafted 3D light boxes, in vibrant shades of purple, were inspired by the septet’s iconic songs, which are Dynamite and Mic Drop. Aside from the light box, priced at Php 3,500, each kit contains a USB cord, affirmation card, and themed stickers.

This BTS lightbox collection is only the start for K Lightbox as they plan to expand and create designs inspired by other Kpop groups, movies, cartoon characters, and other pop culture icons.

K Lightbox Origin: “Like a Huggy from Mommy”

Super momma Ayee was putting her son, Lucas, to sleep when the little one asked for a bedtime story. She had turned off her bedroom’s fluorescent lights earlier to help him relax. As she was about to turn them back on, her baby made another request to keep the night lamp on only as the cozy atmosphere felt like a “huggy from mommy.”

It was challenging for Ayee to read the storybook with dim lighting. But nightly she soldiered on in the interest of putting her son to sleep, and perhaps getting her well-deserved “me time” too. This set-up continued on until she purchased a bear-shaped mood lamp. In lieu of storybooks, she made up tales on the spot about the “bear” and its adventures.

Ayee’s desire to please her baby boy sans the eyestrain birthed another idea that merged the body of a mood lamp and the heart and soul of a story—a paper art light box.
