The event commenced with the tree lighting led by general manager Stanley Lo and joined by Dusit Thani Philippines Inc., president and vice chairman Evelyn Singson, vice mayor of Makati Monique Lagdameo, designer Jerry Sibal and Department of Tourism NCR director Sharlene Batin. One of the country’s musical treasures Kuh Ledesma also graced the evening and serenaded the guests with classical favorites and heart-warming Christmas hymns. The annual tradition was graced by corporate partners, industry partners, media and representatives from diplomatic corps. To give a sparkly holiday twist on a classic tradition, Dusit has once again commissioned the New York-based and Filipino premier events designer, Jerry Sibal. Taking the non-traditional route, Sibal dressed up the lobby with a unique structural art piece composed of Christmas tree adorned with brilliant lights and crystal ornaments, and a majestic shiny reindeer to bring a Yuletide glow to the iconic hotel lobby.
