Heads up Saint Seiya fans, we have some great news for you! The Knights of the Zodiac movie, based on the popular manga and anime series, is heading to cinemas soon. And if you’re wondering what the live-action adaptation has in store for you, check out the trailer for the film below:
Knights of the Zodiac follows Seiya, a tough street kid who fights for money while he searches for his kidnapped sister. Everything changes when he discovers that he has mystical powers, which soon throws him into a world of warring saints. He must then learn to hone his magical abilities and protect a reincarnated goddess.
Mackenyu, who is also set to play Zoro in Netflix’s live-action One Piece series, plays the character of Seiya. Directed by Tomek Baginski, the film also stars Famke Janssen, Madison Iseman, Diego Tinoco, Mark Dacascos, Nick Stahl, and Sean Bean.
The film is set for release in US theaters on May 12.
